The main sandy beaches are to the east of the Rock. If you are staying somewhere on the western side, it becomes a long walk to get there. However, by staying in this apartment you have the best of both worlds: turn left for the beaches, turn right for the main town, and ten minutes in either direction gets you where you want to be.
